Foundation of Blended and Online Learning-FBOL Scholarship(Posted on Thursday, March 30, 2017)

The Foundation for Blended and Online Learning has established a scholarship program to assist current high school seniors who have completed a minimum of five (5) blended or online courses during their last two years of high school and plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs.
This program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation's largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations and individuals. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, age, gender, disability, or national origin.

 ​Eligibility
Applicants to The Foundation for Blended and Online Learning Scholarship Program must:

  • Be high school seniors who have completed a minimum of five (5) blended or online courses during their last two years of high school.
  • Demonstrate academic achievement or improvement as a direct result of their enrollment in the blended/online learning curriculum.
  • Plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two-  or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year.

  • The program will consider the first 1,000 applications completed in full and submitted through Scholarship America. The portal will close once this cap is reached, on or before May 1, 2017.

Buick Achievers Scholarship Program (Added January 2016)
EligibilityApplicants to the Buick Achievers Scholarship Program must:

  • Be high school seniors, high school graduates, or current postsecondary undergraduate students.
  • Plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited four-year college or university based in the U.S. or Puerto Rico for the entire 2016-17 academic year. Proprietary and online schools are not eligible.
  • Plan to major in a course of study that focuses on Engineering/Technology or select Design and Business related programs of study. See the list of eligible majors.
  • Demonstrate an interest in pursuing a career in the automotive or related industries using these areas of study.
  • Be U.S. citizens and have permanent residence in the United States or Puerto Rico.

State Farm Good Neighbor Scholarship

  • Does not require a high GPA, but rather focuses on students who are volunteers in their communities and demonstrate financial need
  • Must be a 2015 graduating high school senior

  • Must plan to enroll full-time for the 2015-2016 academic year at an accredited 2 or 4 year college, university, or vocational-technical school

The Arkansas Activities Association and State Farm Insurance will provide ten senior student-athletes with a $1,000 college scholarship for the 2015-16 school year. The Scholarships will be provided for each of the following sports:
Boys: Football, Basketball, Baseball, Track and Field, Other Sports
Girls: Volleyball, Basketball, Softball, Track and Field, Other Sports

*Other Sports include swimming, bowling, golf, tennis, soccer, wrestling, dance and cheer leading

Native American Scholarship Award for Graduation Seniors (Posted on Monday, March 28, 2016)
The American Indian Center of Arkansas Scholarship Award Program is intended to encourage Native American youth in Arkansas to consider a college education as a means of realizing their full potential and providing them with a broader range of choices when careers and employment are chosen.
Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be a documentable Native American descent from a federally recognized tribe.
  • Must have a CDIB (Certified of Degree of Indian Blood) card or tribal enrollment documentation from a federal recognized tribe.

Dixie Youth Baseball, Inc. 2015 Scholarship

  • Applicant must be a senior in high school and must have participated in a Dixie Youth Baseball program when twelve years old or younger. Applicant's ability as an athlete will not be a factor in awarding scholarships. Financial need may be a factor in determining award recipients. Please be aware - NCAA rules prohibit acceptance of this scholarship if a student will be participating in an athletic program in college.

National School Plant Management Association Scholarship

  •  The National School Plant Management Association seeks to assist students who are continuing their education by offering scholarships to those pursuing an Associate or Bachelor degree. 
  • Any graduating high school senior, college freshman, sophomore, or junior is eligible to apply for a scholarship. A total of $4,000 has been budgeted through the Scholarship Trust Fund for up to four individuals based on the selection criteria (financial need, academic achievement, co-curricular participation, community service, and essay response). The individual scholarships range from $500 to $1,500 depending on candidate interest, evaluation results, and upon recommendation from the Scholarship Committee.

Lift Parts Express Scholarship

  • Scholarship Value: $500
  • Eligibility: 1) Students must be between the ages of 16-21  2) Students must be attending school in the fall of 2015  3) Students must write an essay on this years topic  4) Students must have a 3.0 GPA or above  5) Male and Female students are both eligible  6) Must be a US or Canadian Resident
  • Essay Topic: Going to college is a big financial commitment. Write an essay that outlines how much you expect to spend to finish your schooling, how you intent to pay for your schooling, and what you expect your job to be once you are finished your schooling. There is no word limit for the essay.

High Tech Scholarship

  • The Arkansas High-Tech Scholarship Program plans to award 20 scholarships during the 2014-2015 school year to students enrolling in eligible post-secondary technical Programs. These Scholarships are awarded at the rate of $250 per semester to a maximum of $500 per school year and until completion of the program or the fourth year.
  • Arkansas residents who are United States citizens, plan to enroll or are enrolled full time in an approved technical program, demonstrate leadership capabilities, and meet certain academic criteria are eligible to apply. Preference will be give to applicants who are graduating high school seniors. Applicants will be considered if they possess the following academic qualifications: 1) A minimum high school grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale based on seven semesters and 2) a minimum ACT composite score of 19 (or at least 730 on the SAT combined verbal and math if the ACT score is not available) or be ranked in the upper ten percent of their high school graduating class.
  • The scholarship may be continued a second semester and renewed annually if the recipient is a full-time student in good standing and has achieved a 3.0 grade point average during the previous semester of the scholarship.
