Biggest Educational Goal:  I strive to give my students a solid foundation in all subjects that I teach.

Greatest Educational Accomplishment: Achieving and maintaining National Board Certification for 20 years!

Surprising Fact:  I’ve been kissed by a dolphin.

Outside of School:  Loves to travel, play the piano, sing, and attend gospel music events and church

Mrs. McMahen is an exceptional teacher who has reached phenomenal outcomes in her classroom.  Students are held to the highest expectations as they dig deep into the academic standards. Mrs. McMahen goes above and beyond to plan lessons and materials that reach learners. She is a great asset to Emerson Elementary as she is a mentor to many of her fellow teachers!
